...Where To Buy Roses On Line |
This page contains
links to all known web rose vendors who maintain a catalog on the web and ship
to homes in the US. Prices and selections listed are current as of January 2002
and may have changed since then. Be sure to check the vendor's web site for the
latest information. The price of a rose is only part of what you'll pay. High
shipping charges can make an apparently inexpensive rose cost a lot more. Look
at each company's shipping and packing charges to be sure you are comparing the
total price. In cases of Canadian nurseries, there may also be a charge
for the phytosanitary certificate necessary to import roses in to the US.
We have marked those
vendors offering low prices with Low $ to
make it easier to find the bargains. Please keep in mind that in some cases, extra
low prices may mean older out-of-patent varieties (like OGRs) or very young plants
that are barely more than cuttings. Do your research before ordering so you know
what your are paying for.
If
we've left out a nursery you like or you find an error, be sure to e-mail

This
site offers an on-line catalogue of nearly 3000 antique and old garden roses -
each with a detailed description. The site is indexed by class, name and date

custom rooted with delivery in a one-gallon pot 12-24 months after your order
is taken. While this doesn't satisfy the desire to have your rose right away,
it does allow Vintage to offer obscure and hard-to-find roses. So if you just
have to have an Oeillet Flammand or a Rose du Maitre d'Ecole, Vintage is probably
your best bet. Prices range from $10.95 for available stock in 5" pots to $16.95
for available stock in one-gallon pots. There is a $29.95 price for custom rooted
stock. Secure orders can be placed on site - on line orders qualify for a $1.00
